HUNG With Care
BGHV’s beloved holiday tradition, HUNG With Care, returned for a blockbuster 11th edition with a scintillating sleigh ride of yuletide classics. Performances at Montgomery’s City Winery Hudson Valley (Friday November 24) & SUNY New Paltz’s Studley Theater (Saturday November 25th) gathered audiences of 500+ for a queer holiday burlesque spectacular with cabaret acts ranging from dance to circus acts, drag, live singing and so much more.
Big Gay Hudson Valley’s annual yuletide tradition – HUNG With Care: A Queer Holiday Burlesque Spectacular! – celebrated a blockbuster 10th anniversary with three shows performed to jam-packed audiences at Montgomery’s City Winery Hudson Valley (Friday November 25th), Rosendale’s Rosendale Theatre (Saturday November 26th), Albany’s Linda Auditorium (Sunday November 27th) and Town Hall in Provincetown, MA (Saturday December 3rd).

HUNG With Care – BGHV’s annual Queer Holiday Burlesque Spectacular – has been titillating audiences since 2012 and the 2021 season was no exception. The original, fully scripted show featured a scintillating sleigh ride of yuletide classics and performances from New York City’s premier cabaret artists that SOLD OUT three Hudson Valley performances at Newburgh’s Hudson Valley Arts Live, Rosendale’s Rosendale Theatre and WAMC’s Linda Auditorium in Albany plus a fourth show at Ithaca’s Community School for Music + Arts.
WAMC Northeast Public Radio’s Roundtable host Sarah Laduke sat down with HUNG With Care producer Stephan Hengst to discuss this year’s return visit of the holiday burlesque spectacular to New York’s Capital District.

Rounding out our biggest season ever, BGHV’s 7th annual HUNG With Care titillated nearly 600 attendees across five performances in Albany, Rosendale and Brooklyn with a scintillating sleigh ride of twisted holiday tunes.
